ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Allison Flom (’12) is so excited to work with the Fieldston Theater Department again (where she honed her voice, and ate lunch most days for 4 years). She’s honored to share the world premiere of SAFER. Recently, Allison co-authored Amazon bestseller LULU IS A RHINOCEROS with her dad (Fieldston ’79) and is now adapting it for television. Her webseries, FREELANCE, has earned awards and accolades at festivals across the country and her short film, ILL FEELINGS, premiered at Manchester International Film Festival in early 2020. WHAT YOU’VE DONE, a one-act play that Allison wrote and directed, recently earned her nods for Best Director in NY Summerfest. Her project TROUBLE IN MY MIND won Best Music Video at Atlanta’s Spotlight Film Awards last year; she’s now directing ROSIE, an animated music video (debuts next week). Allison’s historical true crime podcast, ERASED, premieres this winter after several years of research! She’s very grateful for guidance from Michele Lowe, and the energy of everyone involved in this production. Thank you for keeping theater alive amidst challenging circumstances…you inspire me.
