Fieldston Theatre & Dance presents...
The Theatre and Dance Department has been so grateful to be able to produce such a robust, far-reaching virtual season this year. Although we have had to forgo our traditional, large-scale spring musical, we are so lucky to have been in robust collaboration, creating Keep The Orange, a new play by colleague, playwright, and alum, Dhari Noel (Class of '11).
Creating a piece from scratch, with multiple voices, experiences, origin stories, identities, perspectives, bodies, minds and hearts, is one of the most invigorating and important opportunities for any theatre-maker. While devising theatre is no easy feat, this company proves their might, their heart, their courage and their good humor as they co-create this piece with Dhari.
Keep The Orange is a love letter! It is a celebration of student voice, Adler's work and his vision. As the play moves from the early 1900's well into the future, Keep The Orange asks each of us to consider what it means to live the mission and live the work of the school.
